Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc is hiring for a Manufacturing/Production role in Rochester, MN. Under supervision, you will operate SMT placement equipment to manufacture PCBs and related systems.

The position requires basic math, reading/writing, and ability to operate entry-level equipment such as selective solder and wave solder machines. Expect a safety-focused environment with shift 4 and a 0600-1800 schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math
• Ability to operate basic entry level machines such as Selective Solder, Wave, Feeder load, Axial/Radial

Responsibilities

• Reads and follows assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacture of PCBs and/or systems
• May be certified to operate a limited number and variety of basic machines in production
• Responds to written and verbal instructions
• Obtains certifications on assigned equipment
• Maintains a clean work environment and follows safety and material handling policies
• Uses cross-reference tools to identify part numbers, descriptions, and vendors
• Assists with line changeovers
• Identifies feeder by size and type in SMT equipment
• Demonstrates the use of cross-reference tools to identify parts and vendors
• Removes hazardous waste at end of shift and ensures proper labeling
