Job summary

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Surface-Mount Production Technician in Plano, TX to support PCB assembly from stencil to AOI pass.

You will stage components, verify print and placement, perform visual inspections, and assist with solder paste printing and machine changeovers. Ideal candidates will have 1+ year in SMT/electronics manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read manufacturing docs.

Qualifications

• Must-have: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in SMT/PCB assembly or related electronics manufacturing.
• Able to read work instructions, assembly drawings, and manufacturing docs.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Comfortable in manufacturing environment and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support SMT equipment and PCB assembly processes end-to-end.
• Load, verify, and replenish components, feeders, reels, and trays per work instructions and BOMs.
• Visually inspect PCBAs for missing parts, polarity errors, solder defects, and placement concerns.
• Set up solder paste printing and stencil tooling; assist with machine setup and changeovers.
• Provide production line support and basic troubleshooting; escalate issues when needed.
• Support AOI, X-Ray/AXI, inspection, test, and rework activities as assigned.
• Complete production documentation accurately and maintain full traceability.
• Comply with ESD, safety, and manufacturing standards; contribute to 5S and continuous improvement.
