Job summary

Pioneer Circuits Inc. is seeking an Assembly SMT Operator to operate, monitor and maintain SMT production equipment for printed circuit boards. You will read drawings, follow SOPs, ensure quality, rework SMT boards, and assemble cables with SMT and through-hole components.

The role requires clear English communication, familiarity with J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610, and strong attention to detail. The position is Full-time in Santa Ana, CA, 1st shift, with overtime and weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand customer drawings, SOPs, and manufacturing travelers.
• Familiar with J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 requirements for electronics assemblies.
• Experience with SMT and through-hole soldering processes.
• Ability to operate SMT equipment and inspect assemblies.
• Must read and interpret CAD data formats (Gerber).
• Detail-oriented with good attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand customer drawings, SOPs, and manufacturing travelers.
• Interpret J-STD and IPC-610 standards for acceptability and customer specs.
• Verify traveler quantity and notify management of discrepancies.
• Verify correct part numbers for each job.
• Perform hand placement as needed and monitor machine output for quality.
• Ensure proper parts, polarity, and assembly quality on SMT lines.
• Use solder paste stencil, SMT tooling, and PCB fixtures.
• Perform rework and visual inspections of SMT components.
• Troubleshoot and perform simple repairs on machines.
• Assist in PM for screen printer and pick-and-place equipment.
• All other tasks as assigned.
