Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet (Fii) is seeking an SMT Operator to support PCB assembly by loading materials, setting up equipment, and monitoring performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Shift: Day or Swing. Full-Time / Contracted with potential for permanent conversion.

Responsibilities include operating pick-and-place SMT machines, stencil printers, and reflow ovens, loading materials, performing inspections, and performing basic maintenance. Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of SMT equipment experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate SMT pick-and-place machines.
• Set up and operate automatic and semi-automatic stencil printers.
• Operate reflow ovens for mass soldering processes.
• Load materials and monitor machine performance during production.
• Perform manual component placement as needed.
• Conduct visual inspection of PCBs to ensure quality standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Operate equipment such as Hitachi, ASM, GSM, MPM, and DEK machines (training provided).

Position Overview

The Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator is responsible for supporting PCB assembly operations by loading materials, setting up and operating SMT equipment, monitoring production performance, and ensuring product quality. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shift: Day or Swing

Job Type: Full-Time / Contracted (Potential for Permanent Conversion)

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ESD standards, SPC, and IPC-A-610
• Ability to read and interpret process documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and assembly drawings
• Good organizational skills with the ability to track and count materials accurately
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay range: $21-22/hr
