Job summary

Jabil is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with Surface Mount Technology experience to support assembly manufacturing in Richardson, TX. The role covers line layout, equipment tooling, line balancing, and continuous improvement, with cross-functional liaison between BD, customers, and suppliers.

The candidate will create and maintain production process documentation, qualifications, PFMEA, and QC metrics, while supporting new product quoting and on-call engineering support across

Qualifications

• Knowledge of surface mount technology assembly processes, methods, and equipment.
• Lean Six Sigma tools for problem-solving and PFMEA.
• Knowledge of quoting, process design, tooling design, or equipment programming.
• Knowledge of ISO standards is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support overall manufacturing process development, including line layout, equipment and tooling identification.
• Assist line balancing and align internal BOMs with manufacturing processes.
• Implement changes to improve quality and process efficiency.
• Create and maintain process documentation and PFMEA; author equipment qualifications (IQ, OQ).
