Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is assisting a Sinking Spring area client in hiring an experienced SMT Operator. The role offers a 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and pay of $18.00 per hour with benefits including health, vision, dental, 401(k) and more.

Key duties include monitoring assembly, operating surface mount machines, maintaining inventory, performing machine setup and ensuring proper component placement and quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electronics assembly experience.
• Experience as an SMT Operator is preferred.
• 2+ years of soldering experience.
• Must have a good knowledge of computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.
• Operate surface mount machines, including understanding sequence, control panel and indicators.
• Replenish supplies and components per SOP while maintaining inventory.
• Prepare the surface mount machine including adjustments and set-up (feeder loading and changing).
• General machine cleaning and upkeep.
• Safely operate surface mount pick-and-place robots.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate machine logs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly
• Operate surface mount machines, which includes understanding the sequence of events, the control panel and indicators
• Replenish supplies and components per standard operating procedures, while maintaining inventory
• Prepare the surface mount machine which includes machine adjustments and ability to perform set-up (feeder loading and changing)
• General machine cleaning and upkeep
• Safe and efficient operation of the electronic component surface mount pick-n- place robots
• Proper completion of all necessary paperwork to include maintaining accurate records on the machine log sheet using the correct operation numbers
• Correct production of boards to include good placement of parts, no missing parts, correct part polarity, and correct parts
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have a good knowledge of computer operations
