Job summary

The role focuses on equipment optimization, changeovers, quality improvement, and assisting with line startups, program changes, and process adjustments. Second and weekend shifts are available to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and troubleshooting SMT production equipment.
• Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Experience with AOI and X-Ray inspection systems preferred.
• Ability to adjust equipment and programs to improve performance.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Our client in Gray, ME is seeking an experienced SMT Line Operator in the Gray, ME area!
This position will support the daily operation, performance, and troubleshooting of a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production line. This hands-on role focuses on equipment optimization, changeovers, quality improvement, and supporting production efficiency in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
2nd and weekend shifts available
2nd shift Monday-Thursday 4:00 pm - 3:00 am
Weekend shift Friday - Sunday 5:00 am - 6:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Operate and support SMT production equipment to ensure efficient manufacturing operations

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience is a plus
• Technical degree in Electronics or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
