Job summary

Bitdeer Technologies Group in Nevada seeks a Process Engineer (SMT) to develop, optimize, and maintain SMT production processes, driving line efficiency and high product quality across the assembly line.

You will collaborate with R&D, Equipment Maintenance, and Quality Assurance to support New Product Introductions, perform CPk/SPC analyses, document SOPs, and train operators in best practices to sustain continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Process Engineer in an active SMT manufacturing environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of core SMT processes, including solder paste printing, pick‑and‑place, reflow soldering, and automated inspection (AOI/AXI).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skill set with a structured, data‑driven approach.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Experience with process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement new SMT production processes to satisfy product design specifications and quality requirements.
• Continuously analyze and optimize existing SMT processes to maximize efficiency, reduce line waste, and enhance yield.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues encountered during SMT production, identifying root causes and executing corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct process capability studies (CPk) and implement SPC techniques across assembly operations.
• Partner with R&D, Equipment Maintenance, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure smooth New Product Introduction (NPI) and overall process stability.
• Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive process documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and best practices.
• Provide technical training, guidance, and day-to-day support to SMT production operators and technicians.
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging SMT technologies, and equipment advancements.

About the Role

The Process Engineer (SMT) is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production processes. In this role, you will focus on solving process-related challenges, driving line efficiency, and ensuring high product quality across the SMT assembly line.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Development: Formulate and implement new SMT production processes to satisfy product design specifications and quality requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously analyze and optimize existing SMT processes to maximize efficiency, reduce line waste, and enhance yield.
• Root Cause Analysis: Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues encountered during SMT production, identifying root causes and executing corrective/preventive actions.

• Documentation & Standards: Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and best practices.
