Job summary

Foxconn is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Houston operations team. This role will support, configure, optimize, and maintain advanced production equipment used in electronics manufacturing, with hands-on experience in SMT processes, automation systems, and PCB assembly in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, SMT environment.
• Strong understanding of SMT process flow and PCB assembly operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical/electrical diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and optimize SMT / Automation production equipment for efficient and high-quality output.
• Support and manage equipment including SMT placement machines, reflow ovens, PCB routers, press fit equipment, AOI systems, X-ray systems, and automated production equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and minimize downtime through fast root-cause resolution.
• Improve manufacturing processes for yield, throughput, and quality performance.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Process Engineering teams.
• Maintain machine parameters, setup documentation, and process standards.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), line transfers, and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
