Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is hiring for a skilled worker to support smelting operations at the Miami, Globe, and Claypool region in Arizona. The role involves handling equipment in multiple plant areas, following safety procedures, and assisting with maintenance and SOP updates.

Eligible candidates will have at least six months of material handling experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation. Competitive hourly pay and benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience with material handling equipment.
• Good communication skills are required.
• Must complete the required academic and practical competencies and pass a written assessment if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in the Isa smelting vessel area and related processes.
• Work around electric furnace components and slag handling tasks.
• Assist with maintenace activities and procedural SOP updates as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and ensure safe operations in various plant sections.
• Support other shift duties and participate in 24/7 operation requirements.
