Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Arizona is seeking a qualified tradesperson to safely smelt metals at the Miami smelter and rod plant, located about 90 miles east of Phoenix.

You will work across multiple process areas including Isa smelting, electric furnace, converter, anode and acid plants, following strict safety and quality standards. The role requires at least 2 years in a trade, clear English communication, and the ability to work in a mine or manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a trade.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow safety-related instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs duties across smelting and plant areas (Isa, electric furnace, converters, anode, acid).
• Operates tapping machines, belt systems and associated equipment.
• Maintains housekeeping and participates in minor maintenance and SOP updates.
