Job summary

NRG Energy, through Vivint Smart Home, is hiring a Smart Home Sales Technician in Gilbert, AZ. You will meet customers in homes, present personalized smart home, security and automation solutions, and help them choose and install the right setup.

This role requires strong communication, a sales mindset, and comfort with new technology. You’ll travel to customer sites, support the full experience from consultation to installation, and contribute to a high-performing field team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Sales mindset with the ability to build trust, uncover needs and ask for the sale.
• Comfort learning and using smart home technology.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to pass post-offer background and licensing requirements as applicable by law.

Responsibilities

• Meeting customers in homes, retail locations and events.
• Recommending personalized smart home, security and automation solutions.
• Generating leads, following up with prospects and closing sales.
• Installing, servicing and troubleshooting Vivint smart home equipment.
• Educating customers on how to use their system.
• Representing Vivint professionally in the field, in retail environments and in the communities we serve.
