Job summary

Vivint is seeking a Direct to Home Pros-style technician for on-site smart home installations. You will install, service and troubleshoot cutting-edge home technology in customers’ houses, while presenting system capabilities and operating instructions.

A sales mindset helps you unlock revenue opportunities and build trust. You’ll need a valid driver’s license, reliable transport, and comfort working in customers’ homes within a 20-mile radius.

Qualifications

• Sales experience in retail, B2C, insurance, or service-based roles is a plus.
• Ability to build rapport with diverse customers with integrity.
• Technical exposure to home systems (cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar) is helpful but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot smart home technology in customer homes.
• Explain system capabilities and operational instructions to customers.
• Manage inventory and assets with a business owner mindset.
• Support routine maintenance and inventory of company products and equipment.
• Create solutions to protect and simplify customers’ lives.
• Leverage service/installation appointments into revenue opportunities.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain safety standards on-site.
• Drive opportunities for customers to purchase additional products and services.
• Control income by offering add-ons and upgrades to customers.
