Job summary

RTX invites motivated students to join a Hybrid internship/co-op in Cedar Rapids, IA, to support Advanced Operations Engineering. You will help develop and deploy digital tools for modernizing aerospace manufacturing and collaborate with experienced engineers on pilot projects.

You will explore AI, IoT, and industrial software, while learning how digital systems connect with real-world factory operations and contributing to safer, more productive plants.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or related STEM field and enrolled through internship/co-op.
• Experience with Python, Power BI, IoT systems and industrial software is required.
• Experience with data cleaning, organizing, visualizing, or interpreting data.

Responsibilities

• Support in researching emerging technologies and pilot projects within a digital team.
• Assist with deployment of digital tools across factory sites.
• Help document results, configure tools, and prepare materials for scaling pilots.
• Collaborate with DT/IT, EHS, Quality, Supply Chain, and shop-floor staff to translate needs into digital requirements.
• Prepare summaries, diagrams, or presentations explaining digital concepts.
