Job summary

RTX is seeking an Industrial Engineer Co-op for the Decorah, IA facility. You will collaborate with the Engineering team to enhance manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.

You will gain exposure to CAD tools, participate in both tactical problem-solving and strategic planning, and contribute to designing tools or fixtures to optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have earned a minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the co-op session.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in enhancing manufacturing processes and improving efficiency within Decorah Operations.
• Support both manual and automated build and test operations under guidance of the engineering team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and tackle tactical to strategic process optimization.

What You Will Do

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer Co-op to join our Manufacturing Support team at the Collins Aerospace Decorah, Iowa facility. In this role, you will work side by side with our Engineering team to enhance manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. From tactical problem-solving to strategic planning, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing production operations. You will support various manual or automated build and test operations within the Decorah Operations Team.

This position is classified as: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
