Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Data & Analytics Engineer to build scalable data pipelines, develop cloud-based models of production processes, and collaborate with IoT and connectivity engineers to ensure reliable data ingestion and monitoring.

You will define KPIs with manufacturing and quality teams, develop semantic models and dashboards to reveal losses and drive improvements, and support traceability and governance across multiple data sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years building and supporting data pipelines or analytics platforms.
• SQL development and Python proficiency.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience with data models and pipelines.
• Experience with data quality validation, monitoring, testing.
• Ability to translate requirements into metrics and KPIs.
• Experience creating dashboards and visualizations for decision-making.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% in the US.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for US manufacturing network.
• Develop cloud-based data models that represent production processes and assets.
• Collaborate with Industrial IoT and connectivity engineers for data ingestion, validation, monitoring.
• Define business terms, relationships, and KPI calculations with stakeholders.
• Develop reusable semantic and analytical models for reporting consistency.
• Create dashboards and analytics for identifying losses and improving performance.
• Support data traceability initiatives and governance across data sources.
• Diagnose and resolve data quality, integrity, and performance issues.
• Document data architectures, schemas, KPI definitions, and governance practices.
• Translate analytical findings into actionable improvements with business users.
