Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Smart Data Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission unit in Jessup, MD. This full-time role supports a large, enterprise-wide engineering contract within the Intelligence Community, with work performed at a customer location and 1880 hours per year.

The engineer will provide systems expertise for a customer Smart Data team, focusing on data tagging, quality control, and compliance across cloud data flows.

Qualifications

• BS degree plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience; MS/PhD may substitute for two years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience with policy and compliance is highly desired.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative strategies to discover data quality problems.
• Navigate across organizations to develop creative solutions for data integrity.
• Troubleshoot and investigate processes and threads for data integrity (root cause analysis).
• Ensure policy and compliance in data handling and purge requirements.
• Maintain data management processes for accuracy, completeness, and correctness; update SOPs.
• Schedule and facilitate meetings, scribe minutes, track outcomes and actions.
