Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a SMART Construction Solutions Manager to lead North American efforts in validating and delivering jobsite solutions, focused on a growing portfolio of software, hardware, and services that support strategic SMART Construction initiatives.

The role is based in Chicago, IL or Cartersville, GA with up to 30% travel, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Customer Solutions within the Digital Office, and collaborating with customers, distributors, technology partners, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• University degree (B.S./B.A.) in Engineering or Business highly preferred, and/or extensive equivalent experience (10+ yrs) in construction, quarry or mining applications.
• Off-highway OEM experience and/or knowledge of earthmoving equipment/tech (Topcon, Trimble, Leica 3D machine control systems) is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with superior presentation and communication abilities and computer proficiency (MS Office).
• Highly organized time management, especially for travel and customer/product visits.
• Ability to analyze complex technical situations, determine root cause, and lead resolution and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Manage North American validation, adoption, and release activities after pilots and support readiness, track findings, voice of customer feedback, opportunities, and issues with collaborating teams.
• Establish and deploy support capabilities for Smart Construction hardware and digital solutions; improve commissioning and in-service usage processes.
• Create digital and traditional remote training content; coordinate with regional teams to deploy demonstrations and events using high-impact methods like video and self-help content.
• Market and promote Smart Construction solutions through engagement with end users, distributors, and internal teams; communicate value and adoption ease.
• Collaborate across teams to overcome obstacles and maximize resources and drive digital transformation.
