Job summary

Hines is seeking a Building Engineer to perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems at our Washington, DC area property.

You will troubleshoot operations, supervise maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient building services; required 2+ years HVAC experience, high school diploma, and applicable licenses. Compensation ranges from $63,000 to $79,200 plus bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in commercial HVAC or related experience.
• Able to interact with employees, visitors, and contractors with poise and diplomacy.
• Completion of Hines Engineering Training program or equivalent is expected.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools for engineering programs.
• Understanding of safety and PPE procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot operations failures and re-establish building services with minimal supervision.
• Supervise maintenance work as needed.
