Job summary

Sheridan is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for the Bindery and Ancillary Machines on the 3rd shift (Mon–Fri, 10:30 PM–7:00 AM). We’ll train you to operate high-speed paper sheeting equipment and related bindery gear, with opportunities for overtime and career growth.

You’ll learn to set up and run sewers, drills, shrink wrap, board cutters, and binding processes, while maintaining quality and safety on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Mechanically inclined and able to use basic tools.
• Able to read basic job instructions and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run and maintain bindery equipment (sewers, drills, shrink wrap, board cutter, box maker, mechanical binding).
• Keep machines running by making adjustments and monitoring quality.
• Work with a team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues to keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.

We’re looking for people who:

• Are at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School Diploma, or GED.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and the physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

• Safety toe shoes and hearing protection required.
• On your feet for most of the shift
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50lbs.
