Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Louisville, KY is looking for a Small Equipment Operator to handle paper balers, bobcats, and forklifts, with a focus on safe, efficient material handling in challenging urban environments. This role requires standing up to outdoor conditions, performing pre/post-trip checks, and maintaining equipment; hours may include nights and weekends, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Ability to operate forklift and Bobcat after certification.
• Previous equipment operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment including paper balers, bobcats, and forklifts.
• Load/unload materials into trailers/railcars.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain and clean equipment.
• Interact professionally with customers.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies.
• Complete required forms and logs.
• Work nights and weekends as needed.
