Job summary

Jensen Infrastructure in Puyallup, WA is seeking a Small Equipment Operator to operate forklifts outdoors, load delivery trucks, and manage inventory movement. You will become the product expert, understanding items, loading methods, and where items belong in stock.

Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will work with yard, production, and office teams and coordinate with truck drivers and vendors while maintaining safety and efficiency on site.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and loading/unloading heavy items.
• Safety-conscious with good judgement on weight limits.
• Able to operate multiple size lifts.
• Capable of daily forklift inspections and keeping areas organized.

Responsibilities

• Choose and utilize the proper forklift based on weight to load, unload, transport, and stack materials.
• Operate forklift in production areas safely and follow speed and safety policies.
• Move finished products from departments to the yard or to trucks for loading.

Salary Range: $24.00 - $28.00 Hourly

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Small Equipment Operator is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. Working outdoors, our forklift driver moves products in and out of the shop and safely loads delivery trucks. You quickly become the product expert – knowing what things are, how they’re loaded and where they go in inventory.

Reporting to our Yard Supervisor, you’ll collaborate with the yard, production, and office teams, and interact with truck drivers and vendors.

A highlight of your day to day will include:

• Choosing and utilizing the proper forklift, based on weight, to load, unload, transport, and stack material in appropriate areas.
• Operating forklift in production areas in a safe manner, always abiding by the speed limits and safety policies.
• Moving finished products and supplies from departments to yard or to trucks for loading.
• Completing daily forklift inspections and keeping work areas organized and clean.
