Job summary

Jensen Infrastructure seeks a Small Equipment Operator to work outdoors, loading and unloading with a forklift, and moving products through the yard and to trucks. You will inspect equipment daily, keep areas organized, and communicate with yard staff and drivers to ensure smooth operations.

You will collaborate with yard, production, and office teams, learn proper loading techniques, and become the product expert while upholding safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or yard setting.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to policies.
• Ability to load, unload, and stack materials accurately.
• Good communication with yard, production, and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Choose and operate forklifts appropriate to load and move materials.
• Load deliveries and transport products to racks, yard, or trucks.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and maintain clean work areas.
• Coordinate with yard staff and drivers to ensure timely loading.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGThe Small Equipment Operator is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. Working outdoors, our forklift driver moves products in and out of the shop and safely loads delivery trucks. You quickly become the product expert – knowing what things are, how they’re loaded and where they go in inventory.Reporting to our Yard Supervisor, you’ll collaborate with the yard, production, and office teams, and interact with truck drivers and vendors.A highlight of your day to day will include:Choosing and utilizing the proper forklift, based on weight, to load, unload, transport, and stack material in appropriate areas.Operating forklift in production areas in a safe manner, always abiding by the speed limits and safety policies.Moving finished products and supplies from departments to yard or to trucks for loading.Completing daily forklift inspections and keeping work areas organized and clean.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORYou’re enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment.
