Job summary

H&R Agri-Power Inc. is seeking an experienced automotive technician to diagnose and repair ATVs, SXSs, and lawn equipment. You will perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics, rebuild engines and transmissions, and conduct routine maintenance.

Strong problem-solving, tool usage, and safety practices are essential. The role requires 3+ years in small engine/off-road repair, ATV/SXS experience preferred, and ability to read wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Inspect and identify mechanical defects.
• Perform electrical diagnostics.
• Read and understand wiring diagrams.
• Rebuild engines, transmissions and clutches.
• Perform basic maintenance: oil changes, transmission services, filter replacements, throttle body and carburetor cleaning, drive shaft and brake work.
• Operate power tools, forklifts, torches, welders.
• Document repairs and communicate findings to customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete required hands-on and online training to certify in all brands.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical defects on ATVs, SXSs and lawn equipment.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Rebuild engines, transmissions and clutches as needed.
• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs as described in the duties.
• Operate required tools and safety equipment and maintain workspace.
• Prepare detailed repair descriptions for customers and follow up on outstanding issues.

Description

Summary/Objective:

This position will perform mid-level and advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Polaris, Kawasaki & Honda ATV’s & SXS’s as well as Cub Cadet Lawn Mowers.

1. Inspect and identify mechanical defects


2. Be able to perform electrical diagnostic


3. Be able to read & understand a wiring diagram


4. Be able to rebuild engines, transmissions & clutches


5. Be able to perform basic maintenance: such as; oil changes, transmission services, filter replacements, throttle body & carburetor cleaning & adjustments, drive shaft replacements, brake repairs & drive belt replacements.


6. Must be able to operate power tools, special tools, forklifts, torches, welders etc.


7. Must be able to type up a full detailed description of what repairs were completed and note any other issues found to let the customer know of any other issues found and need addressed.


8. Good communication skills are a must!


9. Maintain a clean & safe work environment.


10. Complete all required hands-on training and online training modules to get certified in all brands.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent


• Experience in Computer/I-Pad navigation


• 3 Years experience in small engine/off road


• ATV/SXS experience is preferred

Requirements:

• Work a 40 HR work week


• Must be 21 Years of Age
