Job summary

Van-Wall-Equipment,-Inc. is seeking a Powersports Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled maintenance on a range of powersports equipment. Cross-training into construction, small ag, and lawn & garden may occur as needed.

The role requires hands-on diagnostics, component disassembly, and clear communication of repair work to customers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Small Engine Mechanics (Powersports experience strongly preferred).
• High School Degree required.
• 2-year technical degree within mechanics field preferred.
• Candidate must have or be willing to obtain Polaris certifications.
• Ownership of necessary tools.
• Electronic diagnostic ability.
• Perform some tasks without supervision.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to use a computer and various types of diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Powersports Technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and scheduled maintenance of a variety of types of Powersports equipment. There will be cross training into other types of equipment repair i.e. construction, small ag, and lawn & garden on an as needed basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to diagnose equipment utilizing diagnostic software and/or online technical manuals
• Perform component removal, disassembly, and reconditioning as part of the repair process
• Safely operate all equipment the dealership sells and services (ATVs, Motorcycles, Side x sides, etc.)
• Resolve electrical and mechanical issues
• Help the dealership by participating in special programs, such as sales of service packages.
• Communicate repairs with customers so they have an understanding of the work being done

Position Qualifications
