Job summary

Freeland Ace Hardware is hiring an entry-level Sales & Service Associate for our Freeland store. You will receive comprehensive training in hardware knowledge and small-engine concepts while assisting customers and supporting the sales team.

The role emphasizes excellent people skills, reliability, and a friendly, team-oriented attitude. Training is provided, and lift requirements include 30–50 lbs. Weekend and some holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training.
• Will train in hardware knowledge and STIHL-related tasks.
• Requires friendly, outgoing attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with their needs while learning the products.
• Support sales and service teams and help with shop duties and cleaning.
• Assist mechanics as needed and lift 30–50 lbs.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled sales & service associate in our Stihl/Honda/Stove shop.

Small engine repair and/or fireplace knowledge/experience is a plus, but this position is entry level and offers training.

Candidates must have excellent people skills, a track record of reliability, interact with a variety of personalities, a professional appearance, and comfortably lift

30-50 pounds.

This role will support the mechanic and sales team by providing assistance while receiving training to learn small-engine mechanic skills and customer service training.

We are willing to train the right motivated person with good mechanical skills.

Must be able to work weekends and some holidays.

We are a busy environment and pride ourselves on providing amazing customer service. We are looking for applicants with relevant experience, self motivation, and commitment.

We are seeking outgoing, friendly, and helpful team members to welcome and assist customers. Previous hardware experience is a plus but not a requirement as we provide extensive training.
