Job summary

United Ag & Turf is looking for a hands-on Equipment Assembly Technician to set up and assemble equipment for sale. You will perform pre-delivery inspections and prepare machinery for customer delivery, with guidance from the Service Manager and senior technicians.

Key duties include assisting in department operations, maintaining a clean work area, and documenting diagnostics and repairs. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with safety and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and follow pre-delivery instructions.
• Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up.
• Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning and electrical systems as they apply to machines sold by United Ag & Turf.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, organizes and maintains the condition of shop, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Assists service technicians as needed, including delivery of parts.
• Assists service technicians with repairing, servicing and moving equipment.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information.
• May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Education or Experience

• Fork lift certification.
