Job summary

United Ag & Turf in Texas is seeking a shop-based assembler and service support team member responsible for set-up and assembly of equipment and pre-delivery inspections, ensuring readiness for delivery.

You will assist service managers and technicians, maintain clean work areas, operate shop tools, and follow safety rules; candidates should have a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions.
• Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up process.
• Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by United Ag & Turf.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Service Manager and technicians in the efficient operation of the department
• Cleans, organizes and maintains the condition of shop, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
• Assists service technicians as needed, including delivery of parts
• Assists service technicians with repairing, servicing and moving equipment
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
• Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information.
• May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
