Job summary

The Richmond Group USA is seeking an experienced Small Engine Mechanic for our Fort Lauderdale area commercial shop. You will diagnose, repair, and service small engines and related equipment, while enjoying a dedicated workstation and lift to maximize efficiency.

You’ll work a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM with overtime as needed. Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $85,000+ annually, with a strong benefits package and performance-based bonuses tied to efficiency and recovery rates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of small engine repair experience required.
• Proven mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues and determine repairs.
• Repair and maintain small engines and commercial equipment.

This established company is expanding its team and is looking for an experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join its commercial shop in the Fort Lauder dale area . You’ll have your own workstation and lift, work on commercial equipment, and have work brought directly to you by shop coordinators—so you can focus on what you do best : diagnosing, repairing, and getting equipment back in action.

If you have 3+ years of small engine repair experience, this is a career for you.

What You'll Do

As a Small Engine Mechanic, you'll work in a professional commercial shop diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing small engine and commercial equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnose mechanical issues and determine the appropriate repairs.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on small engines and commercial equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using your mechanical and diagnostic expertise.
• Efficiently complete assigned repair work while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Work from your dedicated workstation and lift to inspect, repair, and service equipment.
• Maintain accurate and efficient work practices to support shop productivity and recovery goals.
• Work with shop coordinators who manage the flow of equipment and work orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Continue developing your technical skills through hands-on experience, mentoring, and OEM training.
• Follow company procedures and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
