Job summary

Kirk Bros. Co., Inc. is seeking a dependable Small Engine Mechanic to diagnose problems, perform repairs, and maintain a variety of power equipment used in the construction industry.

You will work to restore equipment to working order with a focus on quality workmanship and safety. The role involves diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues, performing maintenance, replacing worn parts, and maintaining records in Findlay, OH.

Qualifications

  • Experience repairing and maintaining small engine equipment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines.
  • Ability to read service manuals and repair documentation.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on small engine equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative service.
  • Repair gasoline and diesel-powered equipment, including small engines and related components.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, fuel, ignition, and electrical systems.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts and complete necessary adjustments.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding equipment status and repair needs.
  • Assist with other shop duties as needed.

What You’ll Do
