Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience with 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines.

  • Experience performing tune-ups, carburetor work, and testing safety features.
  • Familiar with lifting up to 75 lbs and using common shop tools.
  • Vocational training or manufacturer certifications (EETC) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics: Identify mechanical, fuel, and electrical issues in engines.
  • Maintenance: Seasonal tune-ups including oil changes, spark plug replacement, air filter cleaning, blade sharpening.
  • Repairs: Rebuild carburetors, replace recoil starters, fix ignition systems.
  • Testing: Test-run equipment post-repair to ensure safety features and performance specs.
  • Parts Management: Look up parts diagrams and maintain an organized inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostics: Identify mechanical, fuel, and electrical issues in 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines.
  • Maintenance: Perform seasonal tune-ups, including oil changes, spark plug replacement, air filter cleaning, and blade sharpening.
  • Repairs: Rebuild carburetors, replace recoil starters, fix ignition systems, and perform internal engine repairs.
  • Testing: Test-run equipment post-repair to ensure all safety features and performance specs are met.

Requirements
