Job summary

SERVPRO is seeking a Small Engine & Electrical Equipment Repair Technician for our Chesapeake office. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical gear and small gasoline engines, both in the warehouse and on site, to restore homes and businesses after fire and water damage.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50+ pounds, and comfort using an iPad or laptop. Competitive compensation is offered along with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with good driving record is required.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Able to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to use an iPad/laptop for job duties.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment (Air Movers, Dehumidifiers, Air Scrubbers, etc.).
• Trouble shoot and repair equipment with small gasoline engines (Portable Generators, Air Compressors, etc.).
• Repair equipment in warehouse or field locations.
• Track and record repaired equipment using asset numbers and order parts as needed.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Trouble shoot and repair electrical equipment to include Air Movers, Dehumidifiers, Air Scrubbers, Compressors, Floor Scrapers, Extraction Devices, Portable Steam Cleaning Equipment, Floor Scrubbers, etc.
• Trouble shoot and repair equipment with small gasoline engines to include: Portable Generators, Air Compressors, Duct Vacuums, Insulation Vacuums, etc.
• Ability to repair equipment in a warehouse setting and/or in the field
• Ability to track and record repaired equipment based on asset number and order necessary parts to keep repairs flowing smoothly

Position Requirements

• Valid Driver's License, with good driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Able to stand on feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work 7:30AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday, with extended hours necessary to complete onsite and emergency repairs
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Able to use an iPad/laptop

Compensation: $20-$23 an hour

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
