Job Description:

Provides expert understanding and assistance to brokers, potential members, and existing members in the sale of Individual Plans and Products. Collaborates with Enrollment and Billing Departments throughout the sales and renewal process to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Job Essentials

  1. Trains and assists brokers with the sale of Individual Plan and Small Employer products, including explaining plans, products, rates, and options.
  2. Helps and educates potential and current members in selecting the most appropriate insurance plan, making informed decisions on plan types and options, both on Marketplace and off.
  3. Participates in various sales events, engaging professionally with brokers, customers, and departmental colleagues.
  4. Manages a specific book of business while assisting with others' books as needed, maintaining professional and confidential communication in accordance with HIPAA and internal guidelines.
  5. Stays informed on legislative changes, healthcare reform, and their impacts on the market; assists brokers and applicants with this information.
  6. Enters and updates data in the sales automation system accurately and promptly.
  7. Maintains a monthly average phone audit score of 93.5%.
  8. Completes all required testing administered by the department trainer.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of customer service experience
  • Two years of sales experience
  • Basic proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and internet navigation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of health insurance and familiarity with Facets or similar eligibility systems
  • Experience in the health insurance industry
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Attention to detail, strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure
  • Teamwork orientation and strong customer service skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Interaction with others requiring communication
  • Operation of computers and office equipment
  • Visual ability to read monitors and documents
  • Sustained sitting or standing for work

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

The hourly rate ranges from $18.38 to $26.65, dependent on experience.
