5 Star Electric, LLC is hiring a Small Cell Technician to support installations nationwide from Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. The role involves entry-level installation of power and communications cabling on poles, with some climbing and bucket truck work.

Applicants should be prepared for physically demanding work, safety training, and potential overtime. High school diploma or equivalent and OSHA/First Aid certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install radios, base station equipment, conduit, DC power wiring and fiber optic cables on utility poles or at base of pole.
• Install and test low voltage DC power wiring and fiber optic cables.
• Read prints and follow engineering designs.
• Take pre- and post-construction photos for closeout packages.
• Connect and rearrange cable facilities per engineering design using hand tools and equipment.
• Work at heights up to 50 ft on utility poles.
• Operate a bucket truck and test RF cabling and antennas.
• Install RF cabling, radios, antennas, power, fiber and signal cabling.
• Assist with setup and shutdown of projects including traffic control as needed.
• Adhere to safety practices; perform other duties as required.
