5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking a Level II Technician, Tower, to safely climb and service wireless towers at a Lexington, KY site. The role involves installing cables, mounting antennas, and performing field fabrication with emphasis on safety and precision.

Ideal candidates have OSHA 10, climbing certification, and 2+ years in wireless tech, plus a valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks. On-site duties require physical endurance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• Must show climbing certification (authorized or competent).
• Two+ years of experience in wireless technologies preferred.
• Must have valid state driver license and pass background and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install Ice Bridge and perform proper cad welds.
• Construct and install tower platform with exposure to a cathead.
• Route and secure hybrid cables and jumpers.
• Fabricate steel in field and on the tower.
• Wire in Raycaps and install lighting controllers.
• Troubleshoot fiber, power and RF issues with PIM/Sweep gear and testers.
• Take Pre-Construction and Closeout photos.
• Rig a tower in Class III rigging.
• Climb towers and perform maintenance on wireless equipment.
• Install microwave dishes, antennas, RRUs and other equipment on towers.
• Use and maintain hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Work safely near energized lines and equipment.
