Job summary

University of Houston’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Bryan, Texas is seeking an administrator to oversee day-to-day operations, planning procedures, budgeting, and program support. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year experience or 5 years of related experience, such as administrative assistance, marketing and/or communications.
• Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
• All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.

Responsibilities

• Completing administrative tasks for the SBDC Program, including customer service, invoice processing and tracking, facility operations, workshop scheduling, and various reporting.
• Creating awareness for the SBDC Center via social media marketing, content creation, email marketing, and community outreach.
• Assisting small business clients by teaching online marketing best practices and collateral creation.
• Teaching workshops on various topics related to small business ownership.
