The SBDC Network, an off-campus department of the University of Houston, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual tosupport the Region Business Office. This position providesadministrative, financial, purchasing, travel, and customer-servicesupport to the department.
The ideal applicant will have strong organizational skills,attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, alongwith strong communication and customer service.
The Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network supports entrepreneurs and smallbusiness owners throughout the Texas Gulf Coast region throughbusiness advising, procurement advising, and trainingassistance.
The SBDC Network is funded through cooperative agreements with theU.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Office of SmallBusiness Programs (OSBP), and the State of Texas. The continuationof all SBDC positions is contingent on the continuationof fundingfrom the SBA, OSBP, and the State of Texas at current levels.
MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of boththeoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical orprofessional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than oneprofessional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normallyobtained through a formal, directly job‑related 4 year degree froma college or university or an equivalent in-depth specializedtraining program that is directly related to the type of work beingperformed. Experience: No experience required.
