We value and enjoy time with our families and friends as much as practicing high-quality veterinary medicine. There are no on-call shifts, 3-day weekends are scheduled monthly for full-time employees, and we encourage taking time off to rest and recharge.
You will join a close-knit team of 3 doctors and 10 support staff, including 1 LVT. The hospital is 100% privately owned. We employ a complete in-house IDEXX laboratory suite, digital radiology (dental and integrated DR), ultrasound imaging, state-of-the-art anesthetic monitoring, high-end surgical and dental instruments, multiple computer stations with dedicated fiber-optic internet, and cloud-based electronic medical records. AAHA certification is scheduled for July 2025.
The hospital’s location offers easy access to everything Gulf Shores and Houston have to offer, including a superb school system.
Compensation for a full-time position includes a top percentile salary, production bonus, ample time off, 6 paid US holidays, a retirement plan with 3% match, health and dental insurance, CE allowance, discounted veterinary care for personal pets, paid VIN membership, and dues for AVMA, TVMA, local VMA, Texas veterinary license, and DEA. Total compensation exceeds $150,000 for a qualified candidate.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, great bedside manners, a desire to learn and educate, compassion, respect, and teamwork. Surgical and dental interests are a plus. Close mentorship will be provided to new graduates.
