Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree is required.
• ACVS or ECVS Diplomate, or ACVS residency training required by start date.
• Eligibility to work in the United States at start of appointment.
• Alabama veterinary licensure eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in teaching professional veterinary students and residents.
• Provide clinical service in small animal general surgery (soft tissue and/or orthopedic).
• Engage in research and scholarly activity with mentorship.
• Mentor residents and participate in after‑hours emergency backup as needed.
