Job summary

University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a faculty position in Veterinary Surgery, Small Animal Surgery - Orthopedics and Small Animal Surgery - Soft Tissue. This full-time, annually renewable, non-tenure track faculty appointment is available immediately.

The role encompasses clinical service, teaching and research within a collaborative Surgery Service. Candidates must hold a DVM/VMD or equivalent, be within residency training or completed, and be board

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Residency training in Veterinary Surgery completed or in progress.
• Board certification or eligibility through the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) and eligibility for Minnesota licensure.

Responsibilities

• Clinical diagnosis, management and treatment of surgery cases; provide consultations.
• Engage in clinical, translational and collaborative research programs.
• Contribute to didactic coursework and integrate into the four-year curriculum with student-centered active learning.
• Provide service/outreach and contribute to departmental, collegiate and university committees.

Education

DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary degree

Residency training in Veterinary Surgery

Board certified or board eligible through ACVS
