Qualifications

• Must hold a DVM or equivalent degree and have Diplomate status in ACVS or ECVS or completed ACVS residency with Phase 2 eligibility.
• Eligible to work in the United States at employment start and able to obtain Alabama faculty licensure.
• For tenure-track: research experience and an MS or PhD are desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach clinical, didactic, and laboratory surgery throughout professional and postgraduate programs.
• Provide clinical service in soft tissue and/or orthopedic surgery depending on interest and experience.
• Engage in teaching, clinical service, and research with negotiable FTE assignments; participate in after-hours emergency back-up.
• Mentor residents and contribute to scholarship and extramural funding efforts.
