Job summary

RehabVisions, a rehab therapy provider, seeks a full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to work in multiple school sites in Oklahoma (McAlester, Ada, Prague, Atoka). Provide SLPA services under licensed SLPs, support screenings, assessments, and therapy programs.

Requirements include an Associate’s SLPA degree or a Bachelor’s in CSD with SLPA coursework and a minimum of 100 supervised hours, with OBESPA licensure pursued.

Qualifications

• Must have an accredited SLPA program completion.
• At least 100 hours of supervised clinical experience.
• Licensure through OBESPA required or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Implement programs directed by supervising SLP.
• Assist in screenings, assessments and treatments.
• Complete patient documentation accurately.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Assist department operations and program development.

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Implement programs or activities as directed by the supervising SLP
• Assist SLP with screenings, assessments and treatment of patients
• Complete documentation
• Communicate with patients, patients’ families and physicians and staff
• Assist in the general operation of the department
• Assist with development of programs

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Requirements:

• Education: Either an Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders (or related field) with SLPA coursework.
• Clinical Experience: At least 100 hours of supervised clinical experience under a licensed SLP.
• Supervision: You must work under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Licensing: Apply for licensure through the Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (OBESPA), submit transcripts, verification of clinical hours, and pay the fee.
