Job summary

A rehabilitation therapy provider is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for locations including McAlester, Ada, Prague, and Atoka, OK. In this role, you will implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP, assist with patient assessments, and engage with patients and families. Qualified candidates should have an Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a Bachelor’s in a related field, along with supervised clinical experience. Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a Bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders is required.
• Minimum of 100 hours supervised clinical experience under a licensed SLP is necessary.
• Licensure application through the Oklahoma Board is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement programs as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Assist SLP with screenings and treatment of patients.
• Communicate with patients, families, and team members.
• Assist in daily operations of the department.
• Contribute to program development.

Responsibilities

• Implement programs or activities as directed by the supervising SLP
• Assist SLP with screenings, assessments and treatment of patients
• Communicate with patients, patients’ families and physicians and staff
• Assist in the general operation of the department
• Assist with development of programs

Requirements

• Education: Either an Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders (or related field) with SLPA coursework.
• Clinical Experience: At least 100 hours of supervised clinical experience under a licensed SLP.
• Supervision: You must work under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Licensing: Apply for licensure through the Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (OBESPA), submit transcripts, verification of clinical hours, and pay the fee.
