Job summary

Career Links is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide school-based therapy in Oklahoma. The SLPA will work under an SLP to support students with communication disorders and help them achieve educational goals.

Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams while making a meaningful impact on students' academic and social success. New graduates are welcome to apply and compensation is competitive based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies.
  • Oklahoma SLPA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Completion of required clinical training and supervised field experience.
  • Ability to work under supervision of a licensed SLP as required by Oklahoma law.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language therapy services as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Implement treatment plans and activities developed by the supervising SLP.
  • Document student performance, progress, and therapy outcomes.
  • Assist with speech and language screenings and data collection as permitted by state regulations.
  • Prepare therapy materials and maintain therapy records.
  • Collaborate with teachers and families to support student success.
  • Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and other needs.
  • Maintain compliance with district and state special education requirements.
  • Participate in staff development and school activities.

Job Summary

Career Links is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide speech and language therapy services within a school setting in Oklahoma. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students with communication disorders and help them achieve their educational goals.

This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams while making a meaningful impact on students' academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide speech-language therapy services as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Implement treatment plans, interventions, and activities developed by the supervising SLP.
  • Document student performance, progress, and therapy outcomes.
  • Assist with speech and language screenings and data collection as permitted by state regulations.
  • Prepare therapy materials and maintain therapy records.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student success.
  • Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and other communication needs.
  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings, staff development, and other school-related activities as assigned.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with Oklahoma regulations and district policies.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher with a major emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
  • Current Oklahoma Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license issued by the Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (OBESPA), or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Completion of required clinical training and supervised field experience in accordance with Oklahoma licensure requirements.
  • Ability to work under the direct and indirect supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist as required by Oklahoma law.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
  • School-based experience preferred but not required.
