Job summary

MedCare Pediatric is recruiting a Home Health Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to deliver one-on-one therapy in children’s homes, promoting communication, feeding, and swallowing skills. You’ll work under a licensed SLP, supporting personalized plans and family collaboration.

Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN opportunities exist with a sign-on bonus and strong clinical supervision to support growth and quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date.
  • One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Support treatment plans addressing communication, articulation, language development, feeding, and swallowing needs.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with supervising SLPs and the care team.
  • Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to support each child's goals.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote carryover and progress.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
