UAB St. Vincent's Rehab Services seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy. You will perform therapy interventions, educate families, and maintain clinical records in a fast-paced hospital setting at UAB St.

Vincent's Blount. Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to be licensed is required; graduation from an accredited program is also required.

Formación

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist/Audiologist according to Alabama State Board rules.
• Education: Graduate from an accredited program relevant to professional licensure required.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.
• Perform therapy interventions using standard techniques appropriate for patient condition.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and assist with patient discharge and provide information on support programs.

Schedule: Work when full-time staff are on PTO and during times of high patient census.

Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Blount

What You Will Do

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services. Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist/Audiologist according to the rules and regulations of the Alabama State Board of Speech Language Pathology required.

Education:

Graduate from an accredited program relevant to professional licensure required.
