Job summary

Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist in Auburn, AL. The role focuses on patient-centered care in a home health setting, with a standard M-F 8-5 schedule and a $10K sign-on bonus for external candidates.

You will work independently with team support, evaluate speech and language needs, and guide therapeutic exercises to support ongoing progress in patients' homes.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language needs, determining therapy needs.
• Provide 1:1 therapy and educate patients and families.
• Teach alternative communication methods when needed (e.g., sign language).
• Document progress and submit visit notes per agency policy.

Education

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology

1 year experience as Speech Language Pathologist

Current, unrestricted SLP license

Current BLS/CPR certification

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum ofMaster’s Degreein Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license asaSpeech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
