Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a passionate Home Health Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Louisville, KY to provide expert care and support to patients. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact while enjoying a flexible work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• At least one (1) year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' levels of speech or language difficulty.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods to patients.
• Educate healthcare team members and caregivers in therapeutic exercises.
• Document progress and submit visit documentation as per Agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy
