Job summary

Adoration Home Health in Bayonne, NJ is seeking a passionate Speech Language Pathologist to provide expert, patient‑centered care on a PRN schedule in the Bayonne area. The role offers supportive team collaboration and opportunities to make a tangible impact on patients and families.

You will evaluate and treat speech and language disorders, teach communication strategies, document progress, and coordinate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their level of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient’s response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.
