UAB Medicine at UAB St. Vincent's Blount seeks a leader to direct the Rehabilitation Services Department. You will shape policies, guide staffing, and oversee program development for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology.

The role emphasizes budgeting, compliance, audits, and quality initiatives to deliver excellent patient care. Licensure in a relevant field and leadership experience are required or preferred; BLS is advantageous, on-site schedule, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible to be licensed as the relevant rehabilitation professional in Alabama (SLP/ Audiologist/ OT/ PT).
• BLS Provider preferred; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Job Description

Direct the development and implementation of policies, procedures and strategies for rehabilitative services.

• Develop strategic goals, plans and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Plan, organize and direct all activities related to staffing, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepare budgets for service area, ensure compliance, coordinate and direct audits.
• Direct and evaluate clinical activities to achieve performance and quality control objectives.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist/Audiologist or Occupational Therapist (OT) by the appropriate State of Alabama Board or registered as a Registered Physical Therapist (PT) or (RPT) by the State of Alabama Board of Physical Therapy required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
